  • Inspect for loose hardware and tighten as much it is needed. On swing-up doors, look the plates where the spring ascended to ensure that the screws are tight, and tighten any loosened screws. On roll-up doors, look for the hinges that grasp the sections of the door together, tighten any loose screws, and replace any damaged hinges. Slumping at one side of the door can be corrected by servicing the hinges. If a screw hole is large, then you can replace the screw with a larger one at the same diameter and use a follow fiber plug, which is dipped in the carpenter’s glue with the new screw. If the wood is ruptured at the hinge, remove the hinge and follow the cracks, and the screw holes with wood filler. Let the filler dry and replace it with the hinge. If it is possible then you can move the hinge into solid wood.
